It’s no secret our little team loves cosmetics, especially the decorative kind. There are some products you trust, product you use for years and that have no replacement – that’s sort of how we feel when it comes to makeup. For some products there aren’t enough compliments, no words to describe how special they are – without which makeup just isn’t finished, which can be found high on the scale of our favourites. We also consider the base to be very important which we apply the makeup too so you can find some favourites in that category as well. 1. MAC Teddy Eye Kohl | TOP 5 products
There is small number of makeup looks that do not contain a MAC ‘Teddy’ eye kohl – it’s just that special. Ideal for almost any makeup, from everyday, fresh makeup to a more intense, evening look. MAC Teddy is such a unique pencil, because it suits almost any eye color and emphasizes the most beautiful in every eye. The pencil, or eye kohl, is a rich brownish-bronze shade, with a purple sheen and tiny gold particles. It’s easy to apply precisely because of its creamy texture, which makes it perfect for application on the eyes and ideal for intensifying eyeshadows. MAC Teddy is indispensable in the everyday makeup of the Marra team, because the color is suitable for every day, especially because we like to emphasize our eyes and avoid the classic black pencil. 2. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream
In no particular order, we continue the list of our favourites which contains Kiehls Ultra Facial moisturizer. The cream has a very light texture, it’s very hydrating and formulated to provide 24 hour hydration. The ultra facial cream is rich with ingredients such as squalane and glycoprotein – which are necessary for deep hydration and maintaining the moisture level of the skin. Why do we love it? It’s formulated for all skin types , even for the most sensitive kind. We use it for months and it’s proven specially good during fall and winter when the skin is extra dry. Kiehls is often found in the favorites when it comes to preparative cosmetics, because the products are based on natural ingredients that work.
3. Georgio Armani Luminous SIlk Foundation – for a prefect canvas
Ever since it hit the shelves, it became one of our favourites when we’re talking about liquid foundation. Light, long-lasting and melts beautifully with the skin. Georgio Armani became one of the most used liquid foundations in our studio precisely for that reason. We use it on brides, women of all ages – from the youngest to the most mature. The foundarion really suits both young and more mature skin. Its’s often found in the makeup bags of our clients, because we constantly praise it, and we also wear it almost every day. Luminous silk is designed for all skin types, especially if you like radiant and fresh looking skin. One of the special features of this foundation is that you can apply it in several layers, depending on the coverage you want. For each day, you may need one light layer to even out your complexion and prepare your face or base for applying other products.
4. PatMcGrath Eyeshadow Palette
Mothership IVV: The Divine Rose eyeshadow palette from Pat McGrath soon became our favorite! The palette contains 10 pigmented eyeshadows that are designed for the most creative makeup looks – from the simple ones to the more demanding ones. Matte eyeshadows are ideal for intensifying certain parts of the eye, while eyeshadows with shiny particles subtly emphasize each eye. The colors blend beautifully together to achieve a certain shade, and the shimmer particles are very fine and can be used as a face glow – a replacement for a highlighter. In Marra’s studio, this palette is indispensable when it comes to brides, because every makeup is reduced to simplicity, brilliance and freshness. This Pat McGrath palette contains all of the above, so sometimes we play with colors in the studio, and it’s increasingly loved by girls who attend our makeup education.
5. Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara
One of the most common queries we encounter is – mascara. This magical product, without which makeup is not considered complete nowadays, has been used for more than 100 years! It’s designed to emphasize, thicken and lengthen lashes, to make the eyes look more open and seductive. Lancome Monsieur Big mascara is our favorite for several reasons – the rubber mascara brush allows you to thicken your lashes with an intense black pigment in one go. A large brush lifts the lashes and gives them volume, while lengthening them, without that ‘sticky’ look. Lancom’s latest mascara does not cause lumps of pigment on the lashes nor does it smudge.
