Lip Blushing | Lip Micropigmentation

Lip blushing is not a new thing in the beauty industry. Full, well-groomed lips have been in trend for a long time, but the key is that they look natural and yet defined. At Marra Studio, natural looks are our guide, and in everything we do we try to highlight the existing beauty. Lip micropigmentation is one of the non-invasive treatments with which you can achieve the above.

What is lip blushing?

Lip micropigmentation is a treatment that fills the lips with a semi-permanent tattoo, giving them a fuller and more uniform look. With this treatment we try to even out the edge of the lips, which is lost or faded over time. Lip shading is a painless process, and the color adapts to the natural color of your lips. Micropigmentation treatment is most often done on the entire lips. However, if the client wants to define only the edge of the lips, then of course we listen to your wishes.

When we talk about shades, the pigments we use can be mixed to get the desired shade. We are guided by the fact that the result should be emphasized, but above all natural lips. Pigments range from light powdery shades to soft red, coral shades. It’s also important to remember that lighter shades will be longer lasting than darker ones, and will require fewer corrections.

Lip blushing pre-care process

The fact is that the micropigmentation treatment is simpler and more successful on supple, nourished lips.Dry, chapped skin will not receive pigment equally, and the needle may further irritate already damaged skin. Gentle lip peels with lots of hydration will help. Prior to lip micropigmentation treatment, basic hydration is essential. That means drinking enough fluids to make your lips supple and the treatment itself more comfortable. Hydration will also allow you to apply the pigment evenly, for a tidier result. Fluid is always important, but try to increase your water intake for at least 2 weeks before treatment.

Gentle lip peeling can be done at home with just a few ingredients. Take a little honey and sugar or olive oil with brown sugar and rub on the lips 2-3 times a week. Your lips will be softer, and you will also stimulate blood flow. After peeling, apply a nourishing balm or a favorite label.

What to pay attention to before doing permanent lip makeup?

After lip micropigmentation, due to minimal skin irritation, cold sores can often appear. If you are prone to cold sores, it’s important to take an antiviral drug that will prevent it. If you happen to get a cold sore for the first time in your life after lip micropigmentation, don’t worry. You should apply Herplex cream and clean your lips with alcohol. Prior to your lip correction treatment, take the antiviral medicine 3 days before and 3 days after the treatment.

How does lip blushing treatment look like at Marra Studio?

Upon your arrival, we apply a local anesthetic to the lips, which you hold for 20-30 minutes. When we remove the anesthetic, we outline the lips with a lip pencil and make them as even as possible. This is also the time when you can express to us your wishes regarding the shape of your lips, fullness and the way you want your lips to be shaded. Then we discuss the desired shade and show you the color palette for easier selection. After choosing the color, the process of shading begins, that is, filling the lips with the desired color. The treatment lasts approximately 2 hours, which includes holding the anesthetic on the lips. Upon completion you have beautiful, defined lips that look fuller and nourished.

What pigments are used for permanent lip makeup?

It’s true that tattoo inks have been used in the past, which is the reason why the end results were very unnatural. Today, the pigments are much thicker, and the technique is much softer, which gives us a much more natural, powdery look. In Marra studio, we use Permablend pigments for semi-permanent eyebrow shading, eyeliner micropigmentation and lips.

Yes, you can apply lipstick

If you decide to do lip blushing, it does not mean that you will have to wear only that color on your lips for the next 3 years. You can still wear any lipstick, gloss or balm of your choice, once your lips are completely healed. Your lip tattoo is a beautiful base, on which you can create any lip look you want! With that in mind, you may prefer to opt for a lighter shade that will accentuate your lips, but also give you the option to apply any color of lipstick.

Now is the best time to do lip blushing

In this new age when protective masks are our daily routine, lip micropigmentation is an ideal treatment because you will not have to worry about the durability of roses! Your lips will always be perfectly shaded and accentuated! Your lip makeup will always be lasting, no matter what type of protective mask you use. If you haven’t already, book your lip blushing appointment at the Marra studio, with full confidence.

Lip blushing after care process

The shading technique is very gentle, but it is possible to create small scabs on the lips, which is why we recommend that you nourish your lips with balms as often as possible. It is normal to expect flaking of the skin and it is important that you do not remove these scabs, because you will pull the pigment with them. The lips will be more intense after the treatment, but with proper care, in 2-3 weeks you will see the right color of pigment on the lips. Lip micropigmentation treatment works wonders for your self-confidence, and at the same time significantly improves your overall appearance.
