Interested in powder brows? Want to know how the process looks like in Marra studio? Do you love permanent cosmetics and want to become a brow specialist? We bring you a detailed powder brow education description and guide you through the entire process of powder brow technique of our Marija Butković. Even if you are a beginner in brow shaping, without a doubt, you can conquer the technique of powder brows and start your career.

Marra Academy – powder brows education

Our academy embodies all Marra educations at Marija Butković’s studio, as well as the carefully designed powder brow education. Our students can expect a very casual and working atmosphere, where they can ask anything they are curious about in terms of powder brow process and of course, learn all the tricks for the perfectly shaped brows. Powder brow education is divided into 2 days, so we can dedicate the time to the actual treatment and working on the client. In short, your first day of powder brow education is the theory, hence you learn the color theory, skin anatomy, FAQs from clients, and the similar. We also go through the importance of work hygiene, the apparatus, needles, and how to properly protect from possible infections.

Powder brows education – DAY 1

Our students learn the theoretical part of powder brow technique on their first day of education. It’s desireable that you write down as much information during the training, as you never know when you’ll need it! Per arrival on your education you recieve a script which we go through together and add information or advice we believe will assist you in the future through your individual work. We begin with skin anatomy, and go through different undertones, tissue and lymph, what happens to the skin during the treatment and after the treatment. We also talk about anesthetics, which brands we use in our studio and why, but also how important they are for clients to minimize any discomfort during the powder brow process.

Further, we teach you the hygene during work, how to maintain the apparatus hygene as well as other materials you work with, with the goal to protect your clients and yourself. After you’ve perfected the important items regarding skin anatomy, you will also learn about the possible conditions and skin diseases, for example infections, which you try to avoid at any cost. This is precisely why hygene is very important and we teach it to you in detail during your education.

Powder brows technique – tools and materials

After the theory of skin anatomy and hygiene during your work, we introduce you to the powder brow apparatus and microneedles which we use daily in our studio. We teach you in detail how to properly use the apparatus, how to place the needle you work with, maintaining the previously mentioned hygiene, When it comes to the apparatus itself, it’s important to choose the speed you shade with and be very gentle when working on the client.

Powder brows education – DAY 2

Your second day of training starts with practical work, aka, the powder brow process on artificial skin. Prior to that exercise you are adjusting the powder brow apparatus and placing the needle you will work with. This part of the education is crucial so you could learn the movements correctly and perfect the technique of powder brows. Practice on artificial skin will give you the confidence as you will pass that knowledge further onto your client. During your second day of education you’ll also be doing the powder brow treatment on a model, which you can bring yourself or we can arrange one. On the model, you’ll be using anesthetics which we mentioned the previous day, and you’ll explain to them how the process looks like. Sketching the brows on your model is a key part of the education, so in case you’re a beginner, we’ll dedicate more time to you perfecting the art of shaping the brows which will be adapted to your client’s face and overall personality. In Marra studio we strive to emphasize that each client is different, hence there is no stencil or pattern you can work of.

Model work – powder brows shading

Prior to the treatment, you’ll spend short consultations with your model regarding brow shape, listen to their wishes, and explain why certian wishes cannot be respected, considering their current brow condition. It’s important to highlight that their brows will look as natural as possible, that they won’t be too dark and that the process is painless. Once you get to the actual shading on the model, we’re there for you every step of the way and following your work. This is a time for you as well, in case you have aditional questions or concerns, so you can prepare for individual work. The process lasts aproximately 2 hours, but with practice and experience you’ll most likely become faster, but it’s important you leave enough time for each client, not creating any pressure to yourself or your clients.

After treatment procedure

Once you’re done shading the brows, you’ll explain the care process after the treatment. These are also information which will interest you as a brow specialist, so we’ll teach it to you in detail. It’s also desireable you take photos of your client before and after the treatment, for your personal archive and to follow your own progress.
